GRANOLA ALTERNATIVE

The Granola alternative
for the moment you're asked.

Granola and Cuekoo both hear your call from the computer, so no bot joins. Granola is a notepad: it writes up your notes when the meeting ends, and you can ask its chat questions during the call. Cuekoo notices when you're asked something and, with one press or automatically, suggests an answer in its overlay.

WHAT'S DIFFERENT

How Cuekoo differs
from Granola.

Granola is an AI notepad for meetings.

  • Answers while you talk

In Granola you ask its chat during a meeting. Cuekoo notices the question itself and has an answer ready, or writes one when you press Answer.

  • Hidden from screen share

Cuekoo's overlay is left out of screen capture, so your answers and notes stay on your screen when you present. We found nothing on this on Granola's site.

  • Agents with your documents

Build named agents, each with its own instructions and knowledge bases, and pick one when you start. Granola offers custom note templates, Recipes (saved prompts you run in its chat) and file uploads in chat.

When Granola fits better

Granola may suit you better if you mostly want to write your own notes and have AI tidy them afterwards, or you use its iPhone and Android apps.

Saved meetings with notes are part of Pro and Max. See plans

Checked on 31 October 2026 from Granola's own website, and things change. Hidden from screen share has limits: a camera pointed at the screen or a capture tool that doesn't use the system's standard capture can still see the overlay, and on a Mac some capture tools may too, so do a test share first. While Cuekoo transcribes, the call's audio streams to a speech-to-text provider, so tell the other people on the call. Product names belong to their owners, and Cuekoo isn't affiliated with them.

Is Cuekoo a good alternative to Granola?

Yes, if you want answers to appear during the call without asking for them, as well as notes. Like Granola, Cuekoo has no bot in the meeting. It also notices questions by itself and suggests answers. Granola is a good fit if your notepad is what you care about most.

How does Cuekoo's price compare with Granola?

Paid plans start at $9.99 a month with Overlay: unlimited AI answers to typed questions, under fair use. Listening to a call needs an hour pack. Saved notes are part of Pro and Max. Pro is $19.99 a month, with 30 hours of transcription. The Free plan gives you 25 minutes of transcription and 50 AI answers to try Cuekoo, once per account and once per computer, with no card needed.

Granola's pricing page lists a free Basic plan and Business at $14 per user a month, as of 31 October 2026.

Do I need to tell people I'm using Cuekoo?

Yes. Recording and transcription laws differ from place to place, and some require everyone's consent. Tell the other people on the call that Cuekoo is transcribing it and suggesting answers with AI. The overlay reminds you when listening starts.
