HOW IT HEARS THE CALL

Meeting notes
without a bot in the call.

Many AI note takers join your meeting as a bot in the participant list. Cuekoo doesn't join anything. It runs on your Windows PC and hears the call the way you do: the other people through your computer's audio, and you through your microphone.

Because it listens to your computer rather than to a meeting service, meeting transcription works wherever your call happens: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, a browser tab or a desktop app. On Windows 11 you can narrow it to one app, so a video playing in another app stays out of the transcript.

  • No bot, no invite

    Nothing is added to the call, so no bot sits in the participant list. Tell the people you meet with that Cuekoo is transcribing: the overlay reminds you when listening starts.

  • You and them, kept apart

    Your microphone is You and your computer's audio is Them: two separate channels, so Cuekoo tells the two sides apart without guessing who spoke. You can name the other speakers afterwards.

  • A switch for each side

    Transcribe system audio and Transcribe my microphone are separate switches. Turn on one or both, or pause with neither, and no audio is sent while both are off.

AFTER THE CALL

When a saved meeting ends, Cuekoo writes its notes from the transcript and keeps them in Meetings, in your account. Every meeting summary has the same shape, so you always know where to look.

You can rename a meeting, copy its notes, regenerate them a limited number of times, or delete it. Cuekoo keeps no audio: a saved meeting is text, and it stays until you delete it.

    Three to eight sentences on what the meeting covered and where it landed.

  • Topics, in order

    Each topic the call moved through, when it began, and the points made about it.

  • Action items by owner

    Who agreed to do what, with yours first, so the follow-up is already written.

  • The full transcript

    By speaker and time, with search and copy. Name the speakers once and the notes use their names.

  • Talk ratio and interaction stats

    How long each person spoke, the longest monologue, talking speed and questions asked.

Notes are useful afterwards. The hard part is usually the moment itself: a question you didn't expect, a figure you can't quite remember. Cuekoo is also an AI meeting assistant. It follows the live transcript, notices when the other side asks something, and suggests an answer while you're still talking.

How the private overlay stays out of your screen share

  • It notices the question

    In Assist, the question appears with Compose and Answer, so you decide what happens next. In Auto, Cuekoo writes a suggested answer as soon as it's asked.

  • It answers from what you know

    Give an agent a knowledge base of your own documents, and when an answer draws on one, it names the document and page or section.

  • You can always ask

    Type a question, press Ctrl+Shift+A for an answer to the last thing they said, or Ctrl+Shift+L to send recent speech from the call. Choose 10 seconds to 3 minutes beside Send transcript.

HOW IT WORKS

From call to notes

  1. Start a session

    Pick an agent in Choose an agent, leave Save to Meetings on, and choose what to listen to.

  2. Turn on transcription

    Switch on system audio for the other people and your microphone for you. The live transcript fills in as they talk.

  3. Tell the others

    Let everyone know Cuekoo is transcribing. Some places require everyone's consent, and the overlay reminds you.

  4. Press End

    Cuekoo finishes the transcript and writes the notes. They're in Meetings a moment later.

Does Cuekoo's AI note taker join the call as a bot?

No. Cuekoo hears the call through your computer's audio and your microphone, so no bot joins and nobody is added to the participant list. It works beside Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and any other app that plays sound.

Do I need to tell people I'm using Cuekoo?

Yes. Recording and transcription laws differ from place to place, and some require everyone on the call to agree. Tell the other people that Cuekoo is transcribing the call and suggesting answers with AI; the overlay reminds you when listening starts.

What's in Cuekoo's meeting notes?

A title, an overview of three to eight sentences, the topics in the order they came up with when each began, and action items grouped by owner, with yours first. The full transcript is kept by speaker, and once you name the speakers the notes use their names.

How do I turn meeting notes on?

When you start a session, Choose an agent has a Save to Meetings switch. It's on by default and remembered for next time. With it off, nothing from the session is saved to your account.

Does Cuekoo keep recordings of my calls?

No. While a transcription switch is on, the audio streams from your computer to a speech-to-text provider, which returns the text and doesn't store it. Cuekoo keeps no audio: a saved meeting keeps that text, your questions and answers, and the notes.

Can I rename, regenerate or delete meeting notes?

Yes. You can rename a meeting, name its speakers, copy the notes, regenerate them a limited number of times, and delete the meeting. A saved meeting stays in your account until you delete it.

Is there a free AI note taker plan?

Not for saved notes. Saving meetings with notes is part of Pro and Max.
