FATHOM ALTERNATIVE
The Fathom alternative
that suggests answers live.
Fathom records your meetings and summarises them, with a newer bot-free option on the Mac. Cuekoo never adds a bot, and it does more during the call: it notices questions and suggests answers from your own documents.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT
How Cuekoo differs
from Fathom.
Fathom is an AI note taker for meetings and sales.
No bot on Windows too
Fathom's pricing page calls bot-free a Mac beta, and its help centre describes Windows as a limited alpha for Teams. Cuekoo never adds a bot.
Answers, not only a summary
Fathom's live features are a running summary on the Mac and, in its previous app, talk-time and monologue alerts. Cuekoo suggests answers during the call.
Agents with your documents
Build an agent with your own instructions and knowledge bases, and it names the document it used. Fathom offers custom summaries, cited answers from your past meetings, and an API and MCP for building your own.
When Fathom fits better
Fathom may suit you better if you mainly want a generous free plan for recording and summarising calls, or its video clips.
Saved meetings with notes are part of Pro and Max. See plans
Checked on 31 October 2026 from Fathom's own website, and things change. Hidden from screen share has limits: a camera pointed at the screen or a capture tool that doesn't use the system's standard capture can still see the overlay, and on a Mac some capture tools may too, so do a test share first. While Cuekoo transcribes, the call's audio streams to a speech-to-text provider, so tell the other people on the call. Product names belong to their owners, and Cuekoo isn't affiliated with them.
Is Cuekoo a good alternative to Fathom?
Yes, if you want help during the call, with no bot. Fathom is a good fit if you mainly want recordings and summaries, and its free plan includes unlimited recordings.
How does Cuekoo's price compare with Fathom?
Paid plans start at $9.99 a month with Overlay: unlimited AI answers to typed questions, under fair use. Listening to a call needs an hour pack. Saved notes are part of Pro and Max. Pro is $19.99 a month, with 30 hours of transcription. The Free plan gives you 25 minutes of transcription and 50 AI answers to try Cuekoo, once per account and once per computer, with no card needed.
Fathom's pricing page lists Premium at $20 a month, or $16 billed annually, as of 31 October 2026.
Do I need to tell people I'm using Cuekoo?
Yes. Recording and transcription laws differ from place to place, and some require everyone's consent. Tell the other people on the call that Cuekoo is transcribing it and suggesting answers with AI. The overlay reminds you when listening starts.
