It notices the question
Cuekoo watches the transcript and shows a question when it's asked. Cluely's changelog retired Live Insights in October 2025 in favor of a keyboard shortcut, though other pages of its docs still describe detection.
A teleprompter in the same overlay
TeleCue reads your script beside the camera, from Markdown files that stay on your computer. We didn't find a teleprompter on Cluely's site.
When Cluely fits better
Cluely may suit you better if your company wants a shared enterprise knowledge base, or you want its Modes and AI-drafted follow-ups.

Checked on 31 October 2026 from Cluely's own website, and things change. Hidden from screen share has limits: a camera pointed at the screen or a capture tool that doesn't use the system's standard capture can still see the overlay, and on a Mac some capture tools may too, so do a test share first. While Cuekoo transcribes, the call's audio streams to a speech-to-text provider, so tell the other people on the call. Product names belong to their owners, and Cuekoo isn't affiliated with them.
Is Cuekoo a good alternative to Cluely?
Yes, if you want help during the call with the overlay hidden from screen share on every plan. Cuekoo also notices questions by itself and offers a teleprompter. Cluely offers an enterprise plan with a company-wide knowledge base.
How does Cuekoo's price compare with Cluely?

Do I need to tell people I'm using Cuekoo?
Yes. Recording and transcription laws differ from place to place, and some require everyone's consent. Tell the other people on the call that Cuekoo is transcribing it and suggesting answers with AI. The overlay reminds you when listening starts.
